Took a trip to visit the old Wyandot Indian Mission Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio recently. It's a peaceful little spot in what used to be the heart of the Wyandot Indian Reservation in Ohio. It was built in 1824 by the Methodist Church to serve the Christianized Indians. When the Wyandots were removed from Ohio in 1843 the church fell into disrepair. It was repaired and re-dedicated in 1889 and today is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In September 2019 the Methodist Church handed ownership of the Mission Church back to the Wyandot Indian Nation. If you ever get a chance it is worth checking out for anyone interested in Ohio Indian history. Wyandot Mission Church returns to the Wyandotte Nation
