I was wondering if anyone else out there had seen the History Channel's documentary series "Frontier: Legends of the Old Northwest" or their newer series "Frontier: The Decisive Battles" and what they thought of them. The Decisive Battles series includes episodes on "The Battle of Fallen Timbers", "Black Hawk's War", "Battle of King's Mountain", and "Battle of New Orleans" while the Legends series contains episodes on "Pontiac's War", "Roger's Rangers", "Long Knives" and "Tecumseh: The Dream of Confederacy". I have found that, with a few reservations, these series are an excellent and well-made production, using reenactors to recreate the great events of the eastern frontier. The series is not without its flaws, as a few things I have noticed are not entirely historically accurate. Anyone else have any thoughts on these series?
